Since 2003 I have been helping engineers, surveyors and designers improve their efficiencies in using civil engineering and surveying software, predominantly on the Autodesk (and more recently BricsCAD) platforms. In the six years prior to joining CADApps Australia/Civil Survey Solutions I was involved in the delivery of major capital works at Manningham City Council, with works including local area traffic treatments. road widening, underground stormwater improvements, major intersection remodelling and project management of building design and construction. As the Technical Services Manager at Civil Survey Solutions, I lead a team of dedicated and passionate staff providing software training, presentations and technical support. Our shared goal is to stay at the bleeding edge of software development and share knowledge back to our customers to keep them at the cutting edge. Civil Survey Solutions also develop design software (our flagship products being Civil Site Design and String Topo) to streamline the survey and design processes and rapidly produce outputs. It is great to be in a role that is focused on exploring new technologies and sharing knowledge, and creating world-leading software for customers to build their success upon.
